Playing on stage

Being completely in the dark, listening to everyone scream and yell sounds prrreeetttyyy scary, right? What if those people are screaming and yelling because they are so excited to see you play!? Sounds a little better now. Playing on stage is one of the funnest and scarriest experiences for a musician. There's nothing like being on the stage with hundreds of people looking at you ready to listen to what you can do.

The reason some people get scarred is because they think: Everyones looking at me, or What if I mess up, or I just can't do it. But in my opinion the best way to overcome stage fright is just do it (Nike reserves all rights to that slogan...(just so I don't get sued)).  Most of the time if you do mess up, you will be the only one that knows it. There's a reason you're on the stage and not the people watching you. You can do something that they can't. If you're scarred of everyone looking at you, you can take that fear and turn it around by thinking "Hey, I'm about to show all these people my skills and everything that I've worked hard at". And if you're thinking "I can't do this" then you are flat out wrong. If you couldn't do it, you wouldn't have the opportunity to be on the stage in the fisrt place. When I get on stage iget excited because I get to do what I love to do for people that love to hear it. It's fun and exciting and It's an experience some people will never know.
